DDR5

The current DDR memory standard for laptops and desktops, doubling DDR4 bandwidth.

Also known as: DDR5 RAM DDR4

Full Definition & Technical Explanation

DDR5 is the standard RAM for modern laptops/desktops (e.g., Type: DDR5, Clock: 6400 MHz). It doubles bandwidth vs LPDDR5's predecessor DDR4 and adds on-chip ECC.

See RAM type: DDR5 and Max RAM size: 64 GB in laptop specs. Not compatible with DDR4 motherboards.
