PPI
Pixels per inch — the pixel density of a screen; higher PPI means sharper, crisper text and images.

PPI (pixels per inch) is how many pixels fit in one inch of screen. A 6.3" 1206×2622 phone panel is ~460 ppi; laptops sit around 140–260 ppi. Higher density reduces visible pixelation at normal viewing distance.
On CompareTech see PPI: 460 ppi under Display. Apple calls 300+ ppi "Retina" because the eye can't resolve individual pixels.
