FSR

AMD's open upscaling tech that boosts FPS; works across NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel GPUs.

Also known as: FidelityFX Super Resolution AMD FSR

Full Definition & Technical Explanation

FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) upscales from a lower internal resolution to raise frame rates. Unlike DLSS it needs no dedicated AI hardware, so it works on most GPUs.

Versions 2/3/4 improve quality and add frame generation. See DLSS/FSR entries in GPU specs.
